I’m thrilled to see you again today because at the time of writing this report we’re March 20 and now my site at 1 year old! So I said to myself that it would be wonderful to return to this year, which was full of twists and turns for me! Additionally, I’ve often been asked the question of how I created my own site so that I will tell you everything now!
We often see articles on the internet that discuss sites but instead free sites. Regarding this article, I will tell you about my own experience and therefore about the two personal email hosting variations through which I went: paid and free.
Notice that you don’t need to begin a”free” site . You are able to directly choose a paid site should you desire. If You’re ready to invest some money on this project, I invite you to go to the”October 2017″ part
So it had been in March 2017 that I started my blog on a free platform that is WordPress.com. Nothing could be simpler, you just have to go to the website and press” Start”.
From that point a webpage is displayed on which you can simply begin filling in the principal qualities of your future blog!
Obviously, WordPress will offer you several paid plans but for the time being, we’re focusing on the free program so we pick the first one which allows you to have access to a site address such as yournamedeblog.wordpress.com and to begin creating articles and operate on the layout if you want! WordPress.com, so that I had a free blog at the time and that suited me quite well since it enabled me to understand how to control a website ( which isn’t that easy when you’re a student!) .
By choosing to have a free site, you will have enough time to discover how the platform works but also to see whether you like blogging. It might be a shame to pay for a blog if you don’t use it in a few weeks… You should be aware of that on WordPress.com, you’ll have access to complimentary themes but the number remains restricted and you won’t be able to install it by yourself.
Coming back into blogging, my fear was of not being regular and giving up blogging after a few weeks, so I waited a few months before transforming my site and adapting it to domain and email hosting. So it was 7 weeks later I decided to”start over” with a brand new name and also and above all with a more qualitative and professional blog.
In October, I thus asked about how to host your site on a paid web host (which gives access to many more features!) . It is likely to use WordPress expert formulas but it is fairly pricey for my taste, and so I opted for the first host that was available to me personally and whose price seemed reasonable to me. Quite honestly, I was excited to start this”new” blog that I actually headed to the first one that I liked. Since I got there that I have not ever had a issue, I am quite satisfied, the specialized support is very present and fast and my website has never crashed or bugged. Before you continue reading this guide, you need to understand that best email hosting UK is generally around 70 $ per year. It is nevertheless a budget and you have to be sure before you start.
In short, concerning the enrollment on a paying server, it’s enough once again to follow the trail. For my part, I needed to continue on the WordPress port because it is easy to use, so I chose to use WordPress hosting:
Like I told you, I’m absolutely not in the know so I can only tell you from my own experience. For my part, I chose the formulation”WP Novice”, ideal for blogs and adequate for the use that I have.
When your name has been created and your formulation selected, we fetch you to the payment page where the price is quite steep! Obviously, several options are checked automatically.
You just need to uncheck all the options and choose”12 months” in the interval. Still, to get a security issue, it’s better to be hired for 12 months rather than 24 or 36! Evidently, if a number of those options interests you and reassures you, you can completely consider it. I decided for my part to lower the price to the max
By lowering to the max, we therefore arrive at $71.28 ($59.40 + taxes) to get a year of blogging! Besides, I wrote an article on the budget I’ve spent on my blog. In short, for the server, there is definitely less expensive elsewhere, once again I acknowledge I didn’t seem much but I’m delighted to be on HostPapa since I don’t have any problem. Another small caution: to connect to a blog, all you have to do now is visit http://yourblog.com/wp-admin, this is where you can connect to a site with the identifiers you have gotten!
And furthermore, if you would like to migrate the content of your previous blog into the new one which you can do it yourself, it is not so complicated, just link to your old blog and export the articles (Settings> Export). Once in your new site, you just have to click Tools> Import and choose the file you exported only before
→ If you don’t know anything about it, do not worry, just send a message into the HostPapa team and they will do it for you
This is how I came to create my little blog which is now 1 year-old! I am really pleased to be here, to discuss things through these posts.
